Born in the lava-covered part of southern Mexico City and solidified years later at the New York Film Academy of Los Angeles, California, Juan Pablo brings a rich mix of Latin candour and American penchant for delivery of the extraordinary. His energetic and creative mind has managed to place his work at top filmmaking festivals like Cannes and wining the Houston Film Festival with a Remi award.

He has proven to be a versatile Cinematographer as his work reaches from Indie projects like short films and music videos to managing big productions with companies like HBO, Warner Media, Netflix and Amazon, among others. These challenges require proper planning, assertive communication skills with different departments and leadership skills. He masterly manages, delegating tasks and planning with multiple departments heads every detail to convey the artistic vision the project is pursuing.

JuanPablo has also developed strong commercial work, recently collaborating with top brands such as Volkswagen and GQ. He is a creative thinker outside of the box who pays meticulous attention to detail with practical solutions. Through years of training and work he has acquired an extensive experience in almost every aspect of the camera and lighting department to create what did not exist before and to compel the audience to follow and ask for more.
